The Black Copper Marans are a stunning chicken breed, known for their elegant black feathers accented with rich copper around the neck. They lay some of the darkest eggs you’ll find—deep chocolate-brown shells. These hens are calm, beautiful, and great layers, averaging 150 to 200 eggs per year. For best hatch rates, incubate the eggs with humidity at 50 to 55% for the first 18 days. After day 18, during lockdown, raise the humidity to about 65%. Please note, due to multiple orders and natural conditions, allow possibly 4 to 5 days before shipping.
